NOT TRUE

And I'll tell you why.

Freshman year my car was vandalized by someone I know, and I was parked at Valentine properties, which is essentially the dirt/grass lot behind some houses on that street that goes beside the Reader's Corner bookstore.

NCSU Police had no jurisdiction over that parking lot so I had to file the report through Raleigh PD.

This was in the Spring of 2001. Unless for some reason they changed the rules, I don't think the 1 mile rule is accurate.
