i like it cooler when trying to sleep, so around 72 at nighttime. if we're home during the daytime, then around 76-77 is usually fine.

I should add that I work from home and have long-haired pets, before all of that I would set it at 78 or so when I left for the day and drop it when I got home (usually well after dark).

I open the windows.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work so well when it's 111F outside:

Lately 81 during the day 78 at night. Trying 79 tonight. Quitting smoking really helped me tolerate higher temps. And bedjet

I’m trying 76/74. It’s the second day, nobody complained last night so we’ll see. I just wonder if the units trying to catch up those two degrees end up doing more work in the long run?

If you did a weighted average i'd think it saves more anyways

Like 16 hrs 76 plus 8 hrs 74 is 75.333333333. Versus just leaving it at 75 all day

I had heard in the winter its better to leave it at say 68 and maintain that than to turn off and start warming up dwelling from say 64 etc, which kind of sounds like what rjrumple is saying
