Instead it's a general-purpose way to block IP addresses, kinda like using an ad- and malware-blocking HOSTS file, just for blocking by IP rather than by domain name: http://www.peerblock.com/advocacy

I wonder if there's any way I can get it to block you from constantly making horrible threads.

Yeah, this thread is pretty terrible. Exactly how did you think peer blockers worked? Specifically, what made you think they were only for P2P?I mean, it ain't like them shits see a request to connect and say, "Hold up! Let's giga-check the databanks and see which program uses this port by default!" And if it's uTorrent or some shit, "Not so fast!"

peer blockers are the dumbest shit in the world

^^I had never used the program before and had no idea what it even did. It's like a couple years ago when I didn't realize that the HOSTS file could be used to block ads and malware.

You know there's an entire thread for putting things you recently learned in. I mean, personally, I still think even posting this over there would be dumb, but in the future if you ever get another wonderful revelation that you just must share with the group, how 'bout keeping it there?

It's not some minor thing like learning WinKey+L locks the Desktopit's a major earth-shattering revelation IMO
