Creative Writing. Most of it is taught by random grad students who never take attendance/don't care. And even though it sounds hard, the assignments are pretty easy and even if you really suck at writing they don't grade you on that, just basic grammar stuff. No tests.Oh...that may not count for lit though...[Edited on April 1, 2007 at 9:30 PM. Reason : merf]

I had Bateman for Advanced Fiction Writing. He was okay. Hester is by far my favorite English professor. He teaches 17th Century Lit (basically a class on the poetry of John Donne) and English Lit 1. He is very intelligent, well spoken, humorous, and a great teacher. His tests weren't too bad and his papers weren't terribly difficult.

I took 265, and the readings weren't that bad, but be careful if you take it with Stamper. The lecture itself wasn't bad, but the tests were all quotes that you had to identify (both author and title and none of this was listed on the test) and then you have to explain the significance of the quote in a lot of detail, and this is out of like 20ish selections we had to read.
