insert->chartselect pieseries tabname box, click the button to the right of the boxclick and drag to select your categoriesclick the X to close the boxvalues box, click the botton to the right of the boxclick and drag to select your valuesclick the X to close the boxcategory labels box, click the button to the right of the boxclick and drag to select your categoriesclick the X to close the boxi don't think excel can simply add all the categories together that are the same. i think you have to do that before hand and then make a pie chart off that data if you are trying to do what i think you are trying to do.

well i figured i could do it that way, but as the list grows longer its not something i want to continually update

well I suppose you could write a macro do update it for you, but thats really the best way
