Aren't people always saying that sort of thing though?

It's very easy to look back and take Bin Ladin's threat 3 weeks ago as warning that this was about to happen, but how often do people make threats against the government? All the time. Hell, you can probably even find them here on TWW, and we just ignore them.

But do you really think this guy knew about this or was he just bullshitting? If people threaten war every day, one day it'll come true whether they really mean it or not.

It's like Doomsday people...one of them is bound to be right, no matter what evidence they have.

I mean, if he was really one of Bin Ladin's people, he could at least spell "Ladin" properly (Ladden)

the spelling is irrelevant. middle-eastern languages use completely different alphabets and sounds, there is no standard for how to spell their names. Yasser, Yasir, Yassir, all are english verisons of the same Arabic name, which is spelled one way. same with osama, usama, etc.
