ok well no going out to dinner for me so a new topic:

Anybody know the side effects that would occur of this? I mean I personally don't know everything that was run with the world trade center... we already know gas prices will rise - its already happening.. some places already hit $3 by 2pm... Im sure this will effect our economy quite hard other than a possible war -

- on another note... its been said many times beofore that a war would fix all of our economical problems... which is somewhat true... it was also rumoured as a conspiracy that our govt. one day might stage a war to fix our economical problems... any input on this?

well its obvious that the only reason we got out of the great depression in the 1930s was b/c of WWII (is that the right one?)

so yeah it could be a possibility

War is an economically unnatural way to boost the economy. In most cases, the economic windfall isn't solid enough to really change the economy permanently.

Has anyone seen gas prices around Raleigh in the past few hours?
Any word on what they are now? I haven't been off campus yet to see for myself.

are you nuts? the gov.t do this to help the economy? like he said, 50 floors are morgan-stanly-dean-witter; one of the largest investment firms in the country, and there was also lots of gold and silver trade stuff there. that will hurt a lot. but we will rebound. the stock market will reopen after wednesday. it wont end our economy, just hurt for a little bit.
