there was an anonymous phone call claiming the situation for the DFLP, but the DFLP denies it, as does the PLO. arafat looked pretty shaken up. the gov;t is almost 100% that it was osama bin ladin

its gotta be bin ladin. arafat does mostly guerilla attacks and small suitcase bombs in hotels...nothing even close to this. bin ladin would do this...he tried in '93 (van bomb intended to bring down building into the other one, parking was packed though so the van couldn't get close enough to one of the main supports...) and he just succeeded this time.

Well, our folks had the Kennedy Assasination for a flashbulb memory. They can all remember precisely where they were and what was going on when they heard about his assassination. We now have this.

We've had lots of historical events to witness. The Gulf War, Clinton's Impeachment, the Election of 2000, Oklahoma City, Columbine High School, and now this, unfortunatly.

I thought about that this morning, Chia. I stayed home from work because I felt sick, then at 10 am my roommate woke me up by pounding on the door furiously to tell me the news. Went downstairs, stood in front of the TV, saw the 2nd tower collape at 10:28.
