I'm selling my GTI and getting a new car.
It has been a great run, but I need something that gets better gas mileage as I commute 62 miles each way for work.
This car is heavily modified and is perfect who wants unique ride that with a little work will take home trophies, or embarrass much more expensive cars. I have a lot of money invested in it, but looking to just get the down payment on my new car out of it. The car will also come with tons of extras if you want them.

One to the car:
2003 VW GTI
Silverstone Grey Exterior, Tangerine Candy roof and wheels

1.8t motor
114,000 miles on body
15,000 on motor
Unitronic Big Turbo software

Built motor:
Brute rods
AEB pistons
Autotech intake cam
port/polish head
70mm throttle body
Garret 3071 turbo
Limited Slip installed in trans
TDI 5th gear installed

Interior:
CEI boost/ wideband digital gauge.
OEM euro switch
Rear Seat delete (have rear seats)
OEM R32 front seats

Suspension:

The stereo:
Kenwood Excelon 7'' HU that does everything but GPS
Alpine Type R and Hertz speakers
Memphis Mojo M3 15'' sub and Memphis Big Belle 1300W amp.
0 AWG wiring

A TON more

The bad:
The front bumper is cracked. I have been quoted $350 and $400 to repair it.
The windshield is cracked. I have been quoted $250-$300 to replace it.
There are a few small paint chips.
A couple other small things that I will get into if someone is seriously interested.

Extras:
Two sets of tail lights
Three sets of head lights
Factory Black A,B,C pillars
Factory down pipe
Cry02 CO2 intercooler halo
Extra spacers and wheel bolts
Extra set of wheels, 18'' front 19'' rear w/ good tires.
Extra stereo equipment
and more

The car is NO LONGER on air...

The current ride height of the car. These are the other wheels.

Call it trolling if you will but I thought there was a thread for this. Your car is nice though.

It has brand new tires that I just dropped $1k on, on the orange wheels.
The silver wheels have nearly new tires as well.

Yes, there is a thread for this.

Highway no AC: 29mpg and a few fill ups breaking 30.
Highway w/ AC: 25mpg
City (driving conservative): 19mpg
City (driving stupid): 7mpg

Just to give people an idea of the deal, I spent over $12k in the motor, trans, and turbo.
Almost all drive train work was done by Apex Tuning.
Almost all body work done by Auto Arts.

Just bought a Nissan Juke. 1.6 liter turbo, direct injection, 37mpg highway.

Why is it that I get the feeling the VW hatchbacks are just going out of style.

I drive 62 miles each way to work. This will save me $2k a year in gas at the current prices.
I absolutely love my car, but is just isn't as practical as it was when I was single and living alone.
If I could afford to, and justify, keeping both then I would.
