Well when he's good he's good. Up until February he was bad, but he is in form right now. And if he stays in form he will be selected much to the dismay of a few England fans on here...

It's amazing how terrific we look when Charlie Adam doesn't play. Why couldnt he have torn up his knee instead of Lucas? Oh, probably cause he never tackles anyone. Or moves.

It's kinda crazy that Gerrard is still by far our best player after all these years. When that first chance fell to him, I knew it would end up in the back of the net. Any other player on the squad and I'd have been certain it would end up in Row Z (unless it was Charlie Adam, then it would probably end up in Manchester).

I'm mad.

And for the first time, in a long time, I'm mad at Moyes for putting out a weak squad. For any chance of the pipe dream that is Europa League football (lol, that's funny if you say it out loud), we need to win league games against our rivals who happen to only be two points ahead (past tense). The FA Cup is the "throw 'em out and hope for the best game", not games that determine our position in the league table. God damn it.

I'm not so mad that I disappear from this thread out of shame though, unlike some unnamed Spurs fans.

lulz.

Oh yeah, it's not crazy that Gerrard is still your best player after 10 years: it's sad and a little pathetic.

He hasn't gotten any better through the years. Don't get me wrong, he's always bordered on World Class, if not achieved the status, but for a team that claims to be competing with Man U, they haven't produced/kept another player of his caliber. Your second best player is your goalkeeper, by a mile.

I admired him, until this season, and I'm an Everton fan.

He's, by far, the worst flopper in the league.

ya, I'm a casual liverpool fan but I like watching him play. he's way more entertaining that carrol, but yes, I've noticed flopping.

there is no reason henderson should ever see the field as part of the starting 11. i've never seen him do one positive thing.

also if lpool had midfield talent like they do in defense....

There aren't many top English clubs "producing" world class talent much anymore, to be honest. They pick them out from the smaller clubs or abroad. I see your point though. I love Steven Gerrard (homo) and he's pretty much 100% the reason I became a Liverpool fan but it's disheartening he's had the team on his back for so long. And I like Dalglish but holy fuck he bombed in the transfer market so it doesn't look like it's going to change. Adam, Henderson, Carroll, Downing... ouch.

saps, I like Suarez. Like it or not, flopping is a part of the game now so you have to look past some of it everywhere now. It makes me cringe sometimes but if he continues to make runs like he did on Gerrard's second goal, I'll enjoy having him around. Still wish he'd score some more goals though.

Just raid Southampton like everyone else.

I like Suarez too by and large. He is incredibly talented and fun to watch. Every team has floppers, except of course United. Nani would never stoop to that level.

for all the people ripping on henderson, maybe you should actually watch him play instead of reading shit on BBC. He does a great job playing balls into space, always keeps things ticking over smoothly, plays intelligent pass and move footy. He's basically the anti-Charlie Adam--who, if you listen to the moronic English media, is having a good season. He isnt.

King Kenny, unfortunately, does him a disservice by playing him out of position on the right wing, where he can't possibly beat anyone for pace. But he's been solid when played as an AM.

I'd say the same thing about people ripping on Carroll. He's not getting goals but his play lately has been pretty decent. But when a team buys you for 18m and 35m you're going to have to do better than just "solid" or "decent."

Don't watch soccer, but apparently a dude collapsed on the field and they had to cancel the game. Always scary when an athlete goes down during competition

Update this morning is that he's still in ICU and in critical condition. They had to work on him for 6 minutes before his heart finally started again. Really sad situation, I hope he pulls through

They still have a slim chance of making it to the Champions League but if they keep playing like this they might as well just quit right now.

"Could everyday folks get the kind of intensive resuscitation efforts that Fabrice Muamba, a soccer player whose heart stopped beating for 78 minutes?

The 23-year-old pro-athlete’s cardiac arrest and his subsequent revival during a British soccer match generated international headlines this week. Muamba was described as being “in effect dead” by the team doctor.

Doctors applied life-saving measures such as chest compressions and 15 defibrillator shocks during the 48 minutes to get Muamba to the hospital and an additional 30 minutes at the hospital. Muamba remains at a hospital in London and has been talking."

Missed the matches today but just watched the highlights. That Arteta FK was incredible. The ball rotated maybe a half-turn. Not only that, he had 80-some touches and 90% pass completion rate today. What seemed like a panic signing has turned out to be a very good one.

Another great day in the EPL all around. Best possible result from Chelsea / Spurs, 'Pool lose to WIGAN, and City draw too.

I know FA Cup isn't premier league but Bolton's goalkeeper is amazing. He's consistently stopped ball after ball in this game and finally after 75 mins one went in.

As long as Petrov has initial AML, he should get great treatment. At his age the most common AMLs are APL treatment for remission is Vitamin A therapy to prevent DIC. If he has M4 AML then the treatment for general population is quite effective. As a well tuned athlete he should respond even better. Yay for my degree finally being applicable to TWW!
