I'd like to see how Ernie would react if he were locked in a room for 2 hours with Dusty Baker and Joe Morgan

Jaybee will be buying Brooks Conrad drinks all night, and then in a few months he will be really pissed when Conrad leaves the Braves to go coach for USC play for the Dodgers

Curious, who are your top 5 favorite Braves ever, in order?
1. Murph
2. Maddux
3. Smoltz
4. Lonnie Smith
5. Pendleton

Geared more towards players you have watched a lot... Lemke was up there, so was Ozzie Virgil and McCann

well my top 5 list that I've watched would be:

1. Maddux
2. McGriff
3. Smoltz
4. Glavine
5. Gant

Young Andruw Jones would have to be close up there too.

Murphy is a guy I grew up watching and was my dad's favorite when I was a kid, but I can just barely remember his good years (I was born in 84). So I'd have a hard time putting him on my list, even though he was Mr. Braves for a long time.

Maddux is definitely #1, Smoltz is probably second, Glavine was incredible but he has no personality. After that there's a logjam of guys like TP, Justice, Chipper, Gant, Avery etc.

It's funny, though, looking back at stats of guys who seemed so awesome when I was a kid when in reality they were horrible (Mark Lemke).

Least favorite Braves would be a good list, too. Danny Kolb, Rafeal Belliard, Mondesi, Hampton.. the list is pretty long.

I almost forgot my least favorite Brave of all time: Marvin fuckin Freeman, who refused to sign my hat at a game in 93 or 94. My dad got pissed, we left early and missed a late inning HR by Justice against the Padres.

I don't know why I even wanted Marvin Freeman's signature. I still have the hat, signed by Chief Noc-A-Homa.

OH YEAH BABY! 21-20. If the dang cubbies could have beat the phils today. Just think the braves have had 2 horrible losing streaks and still are only 4.5 out of first. Man. Like I said before makes me feel like the start of the Hurricanes season.

Hmm top 5 all time Braves. If we are leaving off players we didn't see play growing up then I can understand leaving Hank off. Even though I was actually alive when he hit 715. But he would be #1 and I would even add Eddie Matthews to that list. But here are mine that I actually saw play(tv/person)

No particular order

Chipper Jones
Murph
Gaylord Perry(My family knew him personally and I got to visit his farm near Williamston a few times as a kid)
Smoltz

Hard to pick between Lemke, Hubbard, Galarraga, Fred Mcgriff, and of course Francisco Cabrera and Sid Bream get honorable mention for the 92 NLCS.

Adding in current players. Mccann and Heyward of course.

Looks like they're replaying it on SportSouth at 11. I've got to see the 9th inning at least.

1. Fred McGriff, I wore 27 as a kid for a long time because of him.
2. Greg Maddux. Dude was unbelievable for a few years.
3. Chipper Jones
4. It's kinda a toss up here, Justice, Smoltz, Glavine, Berryhill, Deion, Nixon, Gant, Bedrosian.. I just don't know

Not gonna lie, I got a little teary eyed watching Conrad's reaction before and after he realizes it went over.

My list
1. David Justice
2. Smoltz

the braves have scored 14 runs while Kawakami pitches, over 9 starts.. he's certainly not doing real well, but he could easily be about 3-4 right now instead of 0-7

^ looks like they got the price for a yankees ticket mixed up - zing!

Also KK has been pitching better lately, but once again the bats are dead. Jesse Chavez deserves some of the blame last night for giving up three more runs in the bottom of the 8th before the Braves got two back in the 9th. Had Chavez not screwed up, the Braves might have won.
