Is there even one this year? I haven't heard a damn thing about it and that makes me a sad panda* a quick facebook event search revealed nothing which is TRAGIC!**

*not that I had a costume or anything...but it was entertaining nonetheless

**now that I think about it...construction is prolly the reason why it's not happening

^^i couldn't remember if it was haunted or halloween, so i searched both w/ and w/o hillsborough or hike. i saw nothing...

seems like after the first year it gained more ground and support...but this year nada that i know of.

Why do we need to be told that there is one? Everyone should just go like on Hike Night at the end of the semester. No one needs a facebook group to know what to do on that night.

i suppose no one needs to be told anything if it's a tradition (though this one is still pretty new). there's just usually talk about said tradition b/c of excitement of it, where people are starting, and talking about it or a fb event or group certainly helps get the word out to some newbie.

i just haven't heard anything at all...so i was curious. and the construction would certainly lend itself to making it a more difficult and congested hike...

if i see Big4Country on the street in his elmo costume and those cheap pizza hut glasses i'm going to laugh at him, make my friends laugh at him, throw something at him, and then probably trip him

The solar shades have nothing to do with my costume. I just put those on because I was going to post the picture of me in the costume on TWW and I know everyone loves my solar shades.

We went last year. It was pretty cool. The only problem was the lines at bars like Katmandu and East Village. I'm sure there were faggot 21 year olds throwing up all over the place in those places anyway, so really there was no problem.

And yes, I think the construction will probably make it more difficult to do this year.

what the hell does that have to do with anything?

I wouldn't do it because it is a cluster fuck, I don't feel like going out early, and the 'specials' are never really a special. I'd rather just go sit down at a table at EV and watch all the costumes and drunks come to me (done it the last two years, and it has worked fine)

halloween is on a saturday... the only thing I would miss would be the NCSU/FSU game, and I'd probably want to be at a bar watching that way

Well it is up to you TWW to decide if the haunted hike should be on a friday, saturday, or sunday and then let the public know.

I would vote saturday.

we've semi established since my original post that it is indeed happening; it's just that it's not been as pimped out on here or fb (YET!) as it has with the first two years in trying to get it started.

people will be hiking. just the construction will make it difficult, but not impossible!

unless you and a group are going as a dragon or helix or something...

i'm not really sure how the construction will affect the hike at all- it effects traffic, but everything but PR's and RH&B is past the construction

that is totally a matter of opinion... honestly to just go sit on a porch and drink cheap beers, EV is definitely better, but for a game and lack of Greek Life, PR's is better

that said, for Halloween, that is where everyone is going to be ending up and that's where I would get to see all the costumes (not everyone starts at PR's), which is why I would end up there if I went out
