I guess it's my trusting nature to expect people to not be complete failures at their job and in life.

Also, if you have a couple of sandwiches and they are wrapped in the standard fast food stye (rather than chic fil a bags) it would be a pain to unwrap them and then rewrap them before you drive off.

Drive-throughs are much more prone to error anyways and unless there are no cars in them are very rarely faster than walking in especially at chic fila where they have 3-4 registers open everytime.

Why should anyone need to check their order?

This is billion-dollar company. The sammich-makers should have all their items distributed and accounted for electronically. There needs to be RFID tags on items that can be scanned by a computer before the bag leaves the window. There is no excuse for leaving this stuff up to cretins anymore, except for extra cost. But I bet the cost would be quickly recuperated from all the free meals they won't be giving out. And this applies to all fast food chains.
