^ yeah the NFL officially reinstated him today. The Packers' website quotes him as saying he is in shape and ready to play immediately after the bye week. Not 100% if he is offically on the active roster right now. I believe players coming off suspensions are usually given roster exemptions for a couple weeks so their team can determine if they are ready to play.

Yeah that'll happen if you pass on every down and your line can't block for shit.

2 of those fumbles against the Vikes can be blamed on the backup center snapping the ball off his asshole. The other one happened when McNiell let his man slap Rivers' arm when he was cocking back to pass.

Torry's still a good player although he's stuck on a shitty team.

I think Rivers will be back to what we saw last year if they continue to go with the modified no-huddle like against baltimore.

LOL ya right. Rivers goes through a fairly typical sophomore slump so now he sucks?

He was a pro-bowler last year, show the man some respect. Judging from the last 2 games, it looks like his problems are behind him.

Please. Rivers has yet to prove he is a better NFL QB than, say, David Garrard.

Rivers didn't deserve to go to the pro bowl last year over Brady. Rivers only played well against Baltimore, which has a shitty defense this year. He threw evans-style, game-losing interceptions against the jags two games ago. You can hardly count that as a good game.

Bullshit on both counts.

Pro-bowls:

Rivers 1
Garrard 0

As far as last year goes, Rivers outplayed Brady, plain and simple. His stats were better and he was much better in the clutch. Hell, he set an NFL record by leading 2 straight come-from-behind victories when his team was down by 17 pts or more.

Try again troll.

Rivers is better than garrard because he went to pro bowl that he didn't deserve to go to anyway? Now you are grasping for straws. (And don't speak too soon -- garrard might go this year and be more deserving to boot)

Never mind that Brady beat Rivers and a better San Diego team head-to-head, Brady did a hell of a lot more with lesser talent last year. Why do you think the majority of sportswriters talked shit about Rivers' selection last year? Rivers got into the pro bowl on LT's coattails. He had better stats because his team was better, not because he was a better QB than Brady.

Don't tell me you are one of those people who is too stupid to differentiate good stats from actual good play on the football field.

Garrard isn't going to the pro-bowl, what the fuck are you talking about? It'll be Brady, Manning and Roethlisberger.

And just what in the hell does a playoff game have to do with the pro bowl? And PS Brady threw 3 interceptions in that game and was handed the win by SD. Now who is grasping at straws?

The reality is that Rivers not only put up great stats but was great in the clutch, absolutely taking over and leading that team to comeback victories against Cincinnati, Denver and Seattle. he elevated his game when the team needed it most, UNLIKE Brady. If you had paid attention to the games instead of listening to sportswriters reveling in Brady's past successes, you'd know that.

Don't tell me you're one of those people who is too stupid to differentiate what the media says from actual good play on the football field.

Rivers won the denver game where LT had 4TDs and almost 200 yards of offense by himself? That's a fucking joke. Rivers is lucky he gets credit for that one short pass where LT outran the whole damn denver defense. Denver got the lead, anyway, because Rivers threw a pick-6.

Rivers played well against Cin, but then again, so did everyone. Oh yeah, 4 TDs and 150 yards by LT.

Rivers played an average game against seattle only because he made the last play. Before that, LT made the 60 yard run to setup Rivers. Rivers had done dick against seattle.

So from your examples of Rivers' good games, you have
- one where LT did most of the work, despite rivers
- one against a shitty defense where LT still had a monster game
- one where Rivers was terrible in every series except for the last play.

Maybe you should defer to people who actually watch the games. Your red-colored glasses are blinding you to the fact that everyone in the world knows that LT earned Rivers his pro bowl.

someone mentioned earlier that qbs in the pro bowl would be tom, peyton, and ben. do you really think that ben will be there over tony romo? i'm not asking in a sarcastic way, it just seems to me that romo has had a better season.

^Romo's in the NFC. Those could be the three selected from the AFC. And yes, Romo will also be in the Pro Bowl.

Your username isn't bad, it's just easy to forget who you are sometimes.
