^ I don't see the lulz in that article. Because Rivers is a Christian, he has to hate on gays?

The most important thing in that article is that Stephen Rivers is transferring. Wish we could have had him last year

quite a difference in the Tomlinson/Turner/Sproles backfield to this group of misfits where the best back always fumbles and the other backs keep getting stopped in the backfield by one of the worst defenses in the league

if Philip passes for 4,000 yards this season, he'll move to #18 all time, and move past some pretty big names: Aikman, Tittle, Young, Simms, Everett, Kelly. With 30 TD passes, he'll be top-15 all time.

his stats are HOF worthy, but he still needs a Super Bowl in order to lock it up

Haha.

Those teams were loaded for a couple of years.

* They probably win a ring if Marlon McCree doesn't fumble an interception vs NE in 2006.
* Maybe again in 2007 if LT doesn't quit on the team in the playoffs.

They won't get that close again. That McCree play will haunt Phil forever. He played well enough to win. Especially in 2006.

he'll pass McNabb and Blanda next week

then Kelly and Dawson the following week

it's too bad Phil won't win MVP this year, because JJ Watt has 3 touchdowns.

Also, Andrew Luck is on pace to have one of the most statistically redonkulous years of all time (5300 yards, 45 passing TDs, 6 rushing TDs) despite having pretty limited talent around him. He's your MVP right now.

Rivers is having a hell of a year though, I love having him on my fantasy team. Chargers look like they might be the class of the AFC honestly. Going to be interesting to see who gets home field between them and Denver.

OJ Simpson in 1973 was the last MVP to miss the playoffs

thus, Luck will not win MVP

You think the Texans are going to beat them out for that division with Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB? I don't think they'll go very far in the playoffs, but they'll make the playoffs.

I think the Colts will lose two out of their next three games

[Edited on October 10, 2014 at 11:13 PM. Reason : but yes, to answer your question I do think the Texans will win that division]

So they'll be 5-4 if they do. Texans would have to go 3-0 over that same time span to overtake them.

Indy has: Cincy, @Pitt, @NY.

Houston has: @Pitt, @Tenn, Philly.

You see them making up a lot of ground there?

I mean, again, I'm not seeing a 14-2 record here, but I don't see them losing the division without an Andrew Luck injury. They've got 3 easy wins left on the schedule (Jax, Wash, @Ten) and at least 3 other very winnable games (@Cle, Hou, and @Dal). 9-7 probably gets them the division and they've got the tiebreaker right now.

Why are we arguing about this again?

I know you guys appreciate my updates.

passing TDs - Phil just passed McNabb into a tie for 23rd all-time with George Blanda
passing yards - needs 142 yards next week to pass Steve DeBerg into 24th all-time

Wayne, Hilton, Nicks, Allen, Fleener, Bradshaw, Richardson

Floyd, Allen, Royal, Gates, Mathews (lol), Oliver

Is line 2 really better than line 1? Because I would take the Colts all day. PR hasn't had a solid RB since Turner/Sproles/LT.

^^ Eh...I might take line 2. Richardson is more "lol" than Matthews. Matthews might get injured and fumble a little bit, but at least he produces when he's in there.

P-Riv also playing behind, what, his 4th center this season? And down to their 4th RB?

Luck in a much easier division than P-Riv too. Texans are average to above-average, but Titans and Jax are terrible.

Too early to predict MVPs at this point, but top 5 at this point have to be(in no order):
P-Riv
Luck
Manning
Watt
Murray

We'll see what the list looks like after Week 10 or 11.

unfortunately, I think the MVP is Murray's to lose right now

and Manning's TD record will sway some voters too

Phil is probably #3 right now
