By this time next week, Wake's green and red lines will probably meet at a single point.

not that it matters as much as the AP or coaches poll, but...Scout.com has us at #11 of their TOP 25

I feel a drop to 19/20. It helps us that almost every other team lost to an inferior opponent as well. The Miami win was good, but doesnt look as good since the tarfags whipped them. UNC could move ahead of us.

AP is a pathetic excuse for a poll, we go 1-1 this week on the road and drop 5 spots, i just dont know, but who gives a shit, we will go 2-0 this week and go up 1 spot.

we actually dropped a spot in the polls after losing to duke and going 1-1 that week, plus we lost to duke on the road, unc lost at home

Personally, I like seeing a five point drop in our rankings in the AP.

The rankings are constantly being criticized because teams that are traditionally in the Top 25 never fall drastically like they do in college football. I'd like to see the rankings jump more like football. I mean, it took Arizona and Kentucky FOREVER to fall out of the Top 25 when they should've been gone a couple weeks prior. Yeah, I hate knowing that it's being done to us, but if things can get consistent, I'll appreciate the ranks.

exactly! explain to me how they should be ranked higher than us.
we have identical records, but kicked their ass at their place.
we are 21st in RPI, they are 29th.
they are 1-4 against top 50rpi, we are 4-4.
our sos is 65th, theirs is 66th.
and we are ahead of them in the acc.

wtf?!

There's also the fact that we've been playing like ass.

There was a time earlier in the season when we played like a top-15 team.

Now we aren't, so I won't complain about ratings.

i'm not complaining, atleast we are ranked at all, but i was a little confused. i just think rankings should consider the whole season, not just the games you played last week.

GW at 7 is a joke. There is no way the ACC #2 team isn't at least top 15. We only have 3 conference losses.

blowout win over Florida State and a road win over Va Tech...2-0 this past week

last week we were:

Coaches: 18
AssPress: 21

I say since we went 2-0 and had a few top 25 teams lose, like

1. UConn
6. Texas
7. Florida
9. Pittsburgh
10. Tennessee
11. West Virginia (twice)
12. Ohio State
14. UCLA
16. Michigan State
17. Georgetown (twice)
19. Oklahoma
20. Iowa

We should move from 18 in the Coaches past at least MSU and Georgetown and maybe even UCLA or WV...similar moves in the AP poll...I predict this week we are

Coaches: 15
AP: 16

this argument has been made for the past 3-4 polls. I dont know, but what i do know is we have something to prove this week. If we go 2-0 a number 2/3 seed is on the table for us and a first round in Greensboro. We lose both, we will probably be subjected to a 5. Go 1-1 a 4 would be most likely.
