Non-ACC.

Just so we don't clog up the board with every good game that is on.

Syracuse beat Texas Tech by 35. I thought Syracuse would win but not like that. I didn't see the second half b/c I fell asleep but I didn't think they would look that good, that fast.

Alternatively Wake Forest looks like it was struggle all year long. Good for us.

On tap for tonight:

UConn-Pepperdine ESPN U 11:30pm
Florida-Syracuse ESPN 9:00pm

I got UConn big and Syracuse by 10.

I'll use this thread.

Michigan State (#5) is losing by 14 at Hawaii w/ under 8:00 to go.. If they don't play better that Maui Invit. field is going to ROMP them...

WVU is so fun to watch. They are so well coached it's amazing. This would be a major upset in my mind right now but I think at the end of the year WVU will be a very good team..

Oh and Wake Forest is up 30-27 w/ 4 mins left vs UNC-A

[Edited on November 21, 2005 at 7:52 PM. Reason : yea I realize they are ranked 13 but a lot of people are doubting WVU..]

I heart WVU

Ever since last year when they won that classic over WFU (I've hated WFU ever since Chris Paul decided to give a nutshot to Hodge), I've been a WVU fan.

I love watching WVU.

What shocks me tonight, though, is how well-coordinated they are this early in the season. They've made a couple of errors, sure, but overall it's incredible.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MOUNTAINEERS FROM MORGANTOWN? THEY ARE NOW DOWN AFTER LEADING BY NINE. DONT WORRY THOUGH BECAUSE WE WILL PULL THIS ONE OUT, JUST LIKE WE WOULD HAVE BEATEN VIRGINIA TECH IN FOOTBALL AND WILL BEAT THEM IF GIVEN ANOTHER CHANCE BECAUSE MY LIFE IS FULL OF SECOND CHANCES SO WHY SHOULDNT MY SPORTS TEAMS BE. GO MOUNTIES OR WHATEVER THE FUCK THEY SAY IN THAT BASS ACKWARDS PLACE.

Well, i'm a believer that a foul is a foul with 3 hours left or 3 seconds left but you know, FTs win games. It's like the kicking game in football.

WV Pittsnogled themselves. Gansi was fouled though...but who know if they'd even hit the free throw.

And these announcers blow- "rule of verticality"

Arizona taking it to Kansas early..

Iowa-Kentuck in about 15 minutes. I'll probably lay down and watch that one since State plays Iowa soon...

im sorry

you dont turn the ball over 24 times and expect to win

Texas has problems far worse than WVU's inability to make FTs down the stretch

But you'll miss Rafferty's nonsensical outbursts.

I went to about every KU home game last year. Their frontcourt has some raw talent, but the backcourt will have tons of problems protecting the ball and defending the perimeter.

but that was bullshit...borderline block/goaltend but a clear body foul

Some of my thoughts from yesterday:

-Gonzaga looks very good. Not athletic enough to run all the way through the tourney, but very disciplined and coordinated.
-Maryland should make the tourney this year. Very athletic, not so well coordinated. I don't expect them to challenge for ACC dominance, but they'll win some games.
-Texas seems a bit overrated. Great frontcourt, clutch, but they had a lot of trouble dealing with the WVU defense. Size was the only thing that kept them in that game until the end.
-WVU could legitimately challenge for the top of the Big East. Great defense, incredibly well-coordinated offensive attack.
-Iowa and Kentucky both played good defense but had significant offensive problems. They both need to work on finding some rhythm.
