I'm looking hard at SECU. I can't really see a downside to getting a checking account with them. Anything I should look at before switching from BB&T? 7/19/2005 9:46:29 PM |

Amen to that. I love being able to take out $2.33 at the ATM if I want to. I also love being able to deposit a check at the ATM on Saturday at 11:45 pm and have it be deposited into my account instantly. Doen't matter when I want to deposit my check, it is always deposited into my account at that moment.7/20/2005 6:29:27 AM |

ive heard good things about their service, but my gf used to be with them, and whenever we were out of state and she wanted cash, she would get charged extra fees because they dont have any ATMs out of the state. if you dont travel very much, then that shouldnt be a problem.
ive had wachovia for about 7-8 years now, and i havent had any problems with them. convinience of ATMs and banks is a big factor for me...and ive yet to live in a place that hasnt had a wachovia ATM and/or bank furthur then a mile away.

i cant get SECU because i'm not a state employee anymore. i've heard some good things about RBC and Wachovia may work for me since i wont be leaving NC too soon. whats ING like? 7/20/2005 8:28:22 AM |

i wasnt aware that ING was a normal "bank". i have a savings plan with them, but its not like i can go the ATM and withdraw money. i have to transfer money into and out of my normal checking account. but they do have an excellent interest rate, so thats why i keep some money with them. 7/20/2005 8:48:02 AM |

Coastal FCU.
Seriously, if you can get into a credit union, do so. Banks are sharks. 7/20/2005 10:21:45 AM |
