NPR is good in the mornings too but I really want to start the day of with a laugh.

I usually listen to NPR on the way back home.

Bob and Tom funny moments recently:

I laughed so hard I almost ran off the road the other morning when Chick was talking about killing a rat with a mop while he was trying to take a shit.

Another serious LOL moment was when they were talking about the crazy Runaway Bride and someone mentioned that her fiance didn't believe in sex before marriage. Tom jumps in and says "maybe its all those sex juices building up that make her eyes bug out"

I don't think anyone around here carries my favorite morning show: LEX AND TERRY. 99X, on the coast of NC, carries it. They're based out of Jacksonville, FL, and have stations all over the east coast, plus a few places out west. Sucks that we can't get them here.

Lex and Terry suck the most major of dicks. Stern owns all. Opie and Anthony are pretty good.

NPR is great, but when I'm on my way to sit at a cubicle all day, I need a little immature humor to lighten the mood. I usually listen to them every morning, and they typically have great comedians on there as guests.

John Boy and Billy sucks a big fat one. Its nothing but a bunch of hicks showing how dumb they are and how theyre proud of it. I remember hearing some woman on there talking about how Iraq and the Taliban attacked us on 9/11. wtf?

Hmm. This morning was all death-talk.

Although I think it would be cool if Bob really did have a funeral with a stripper pole, open-bar and smoking.

I have the "You're Not Helping The Show" stuck in my head ...

Chick went off on a dead bulldog tangent this morning and they started to play it.

Best quote of the morning (that I heard) was when the Greek comedian said:

"They say there is more than one way to skin a cat ... and I bet they're all fun."

I listen to enough NPR for about three people, but my only break from that comes from the enjoyment of listening to Bob and Tom in the morning.

^ Yeah.

I just catch NPR on the way back home, in the evenings if I am driving and on the weekends.

Bob and Tom in the morning is still a requirement though.

i need a copy of the quote about "stupid people that need to be left behind" from yesterday's show. it was something like:

"dont worry about trying to educate these people. no child left behind? some people need to be left behind. we need someone to drive H2s and read ann coulter books and care about paris hilton. we'll do the real work, you just go care about paris, she needs you"

The other day was great when Kristi was talking about the new movie wedding crashers and they had Christopher Walkin's quote about it and then they talked about how that didn't sound anything like him so they played the piece from Kevin Pollack doing Christopher Walkin. That was priceless.

My favorite of all time is still Fluteman by Greg Warren, followed by Kevin Pollack's Interview with Christopher Walkin. Tim Bador's Vague but True is quite ammusing as well.

I have listened to Bob and Tom for soemthing like 7 years now. Although yesterday morning was the first time I heard the very beginning of the show.

I have got up at 6:00am a number of times but usually picked up later in the show when I was in the truck, etc.

Frank Caliendo was on the show this morning. His impressions are AMAZING.

The WiperBlades song played by Heywood Banks
Toast
Camel Toe, I really hate that they can't play this anymore because of all the FCC crap
Potang

And of course the Interview with Christopher Walken.

EVERY time I turn on my wipers I get that song stuck in my head.

I need to buy some of the classic CDs to get some of the great old stuff and see the DVD.

"Well Water" is one of my all-time favorites too. Whenever the chorus picks up I can't help but bust out laughing.

"Gangsta Folk" by Pat Godwin is also high on the list. I have listened to it enough that its not funny anymore but I still like it.

What a great way to start the morning.

The censorship of radio shows has really killed some of their best works.

It seems like they are resorting to even more juvenile humor because they can't come out and say the things they used to say.

Anybody ever listen to the Rise Guys morning show? You probably don't get it in Raleigh since I think it is based out of Greenville, but they have this awesome segment called "War of the Roses" where they have someone who suspects their significant other is cheating call in for help. The morning show guys pose as a startup flourist company offering free roses, so they call up the SO and tell them they have won free roses and ask who they would like to send them to. Obviously sometimes they are cheating (they don't send it to their bf or gf) and sometimes they aren't, but usually it is pretty funny.

I usually switch off between this show and Bob and Tom... whenever there are commercials playing I switch stations.
