I'm gonna ask this again and maybe I we luck out an answer.

Hairstylists in North Raleigh or Wake Forest area that can do funky cuts and color? Or anywhere really I guess.

I like Bella Trio...they've helped with my fashion show for the past 2 years and always have some fun dos.

I don't really get my hair cut or colored, so I'm sure some of these ladies have suggestions as well.

is that the kind of place that gives you cocktails while they cut your hair?

How does that shit not end up in your drink?

And "midtown," for that matter.

^ I like Cherry Pie. Adam & Eve doesn't have much selection, and what they do have is too much money for what you are getting. I haven't been to Frisky Business yet, but I know I need to.

If you know what you want, and you just need a good price, then Amazon's Sexual Wellness store is best. http://tinyurl.com/khmo3bh

Thank you! I think amazon is the way to go.

Any favorite brands? The one I want is way too much money.

A good salon in N. Raleigh is Douglas Carroll on Falls in the shopping center where The Fresh Market is.

I've been going there for a couple years now. It's got a spa as well so you can go get pampered.

It's a little on the pricey side. A women's haircut starts at $65.00. I've never gotten my hair highlighted or colored there but my mom does every other month. I think it runs her almost $200 for highlights.

Yes, but it also has good reviews

200 dollars is a lot of money...tell me that isn't the norm! I used to go to trade secret in triangle for a haircut. It cost about 30 bucks.

If I just want a simple haircut, I'll go to Mitchell's for $30.00

but if I want a real change (like a drastic cut or something), I'll go see my guy at Douglas Carroll

I haven't bought a purse since high school, and the two that I have barely fit my phone so I think I should buy a new one. I like the lesportsac hobo https://www.lesportsac.com/Classic_Hobo but the logo is kind of obnoxious. Anyone know of a simple looking lightweight bag that's not covered in logos?

Just stopping in to say that I really dislike the wedge-style shoe. You know, the kind that is shaped kind of like high heels but the heel is filled in. That style is like the Honda Element of women's shoes.

i started using this stuff recently. not as heavy as the pur minerals powder i was using. nice for summer. a++ would apply again.

those ladies at ulta are some good sales people. i can't walk out of there without spending $$$

also, for $5 i have found this mascara to be the bomb.

it has little fibers in it. extends the lashes. i always run my brush under really hot water for .2 seconds to make my mascara go on smoothly. i don't care if you think its gross....it works perfectly.

I start with a cream foundation for a base. Then I use a matte powder for the dark areas and a shiny highlighter for the areas I want to emphasize. I use this for the highlighter because I have a free sample from sephora. http://m.sephora.com/watt-s-up-P295206?skuId=1357250

I'm with you. I've always applied my make-up similarly because my mother bought me a hilarious Cindy Crawford book instead of actually showing me.

But I don't think this is what other people imagine as "contouring."

bb cream contouring is a thing now. (big in japan blah blah blah). basically, you just use 2 or 3 shades of cream to paint your face and blend it all in. doesn't seem like a great idea if you might sweat.

I've been experimenting with hightlighting/contouring the last couple of weeks. Check out Carli Bybel's YouTube channel. There's plenty of tutorials out there but I just love all of her videos

Question for any short ladies...

My wife is short (like 4' 10"). Is there any place that sells petite size dresses that actually has decent variety in styles and doesn't cost a fortune? On her, mini skirts / dresses go down to her knees and anything full length is much too long (she can't wear heels much taller than 4" or so).

Any suggestions? Besides shopping in youth departments.

anyone have a good primer they really like and have experienced great results? I use benefit's primers, tarte's poreless primer and even monistat's anti-chafing gel (I know, lol, it's supposed to work) but still my make up cracks in my fine lines and wrinkles.

I loved Philosophy's primer from a sample I got, but I haven't bought a full size one. I don't use primer that often and have a thing of Laura Geller Spackle (which I don't like much) I would prefer to use before I buy more.

i used to have that issue. nothing helped. so i stopped wearing foundation. I slap some bb cream on my t zone b/c it's a little bit darker and it evens stuff out a bit, and then finish off with an ultra fine finishing translucent powder. when I need it I use some concealer.

haven't had that issue since

not what you were asking for exactly but....... *shrug*

Anyone 4'10" really needs to get a sewing machine and learn how to use it. Most dresses and skirts aren't that hard to hem, and it will make her life so much easier.
