"Another question! I need new pants. My body is changing quickly, and I can't keep buying new pants every two months. We have bills and a wedding to pay for. So, I would like a couple pair of pants that are maybe drawstring, that wouldn't look terrible baggy, but are somewhat fashionable. They will be for casual and work wear. I am a nanny, but I like to look halfway decent because the family is very well off and sometimes we all go out together or they have business meetings at the house. Must be easily laundered! I was thinking maybe linen or something light, so I can wear them through the summer, and they dont turn the a/c on until 80 degrees. Got any ideas?"

I will also vouch for merrells
My job involves standing in a very uncomfortable position on a small stool for long periods of time and those shoes have been the only ones that will last all day.
Also, I felt that I never had to really break them in but that could just be me.

I'll try, but I think my ass is too big for leggings. Also, that sounds like I'm preggers heading to a shotgun wedding. I'm not. I'm actually losing weight!

Haha! I wondered, but didn't want to ask.

Congrats, on the weight loss, on the wedding, and on not being knocked up

Goodwill. Get some decent fitting pants cheap, wear a belt, and buy nice pants once you are at your target weight.

DivaBaby19 posted a link about how to wear leggings in the chatterbox, and MinkaGrl01 requested a repost in here so she could read it when she was sober.

haha I thought she wanted me to post all the other advice I typed up too

btw I was just speaking of the first page of that link with the "advice"...the outfits he posted can be guides to finding cheaper items (because most things on there are designer) but they are for the older crowd since it was for Oprah's audience and all.

The rules stand true for any age

Alright, so I think leggings look weird when they just cut off at the ankle, and there's no continuous flow to the shoe. Do you wear socks with leggings? Or does it look fine with the pasty white skin between the legging and the shoe?

lol NO SOCKS

its the point of wearing ankle length leggings

it doesn't bother me unless people are wearing heels...I think heels and leggings can look very skanky unless done perfectly

I would probably be wearing my toms with leggings at work, or my merrells

Hmmm. I don't think I can pull off leggings. I can't pull off skinny jeans, so that's just one step further. I don't think it helps that I don't look good in flats either.

balance

if you're skinny an flat on the bottom, you wear something flowy on the top

neeeever wear something tight up top and on the bottom....that's like prostitute talk right there

If I have a flowy top and skinny bottom, do I need a belt to cinch at the waist? Or just let it be totally flowy?

On another note

I found this website that I'm in love with...it has a vintage feel to it with a little edge as well

you skinny bitches would look good in some of this stuff (SOME can go a little overboard like American Apparel and all)

http://us.missselfridge.com/

Its probably just new to me, but I thought I'd share

^^You can do either honestly

you're tiny...you can do a cute cardigan with a button-up underneath (and even cinch that with a skinny belt) then some fun colorful skinny jeans and flats for a weekend look

even this look from Ann Taylor is super cute (even though they're not "flowy" the cardi and top are not skin tight so you don't look stripper)

inorite

I'm guilty of color blocking all the damn time, so I'm stoked its in trend right now

I absolutely love bright colors

I wish I could pull this off, but because I'm not skinny I'd need to be taller to make it work (proportions)

Thicker hair is better for that style. Mine is pretty stringy and won't stay tight unless with product.

In your fancy stretchy leggings do you guys order true to size or a size down? On Hue leggings it says a large is size 12-14. That's what I typically wear, but I got a pair of stretchy denim bermuda shorts the other day in a size 10. Please guys, I have a match.

GO TRY THEM ON!

but if you're losing weight (and you've gotten into a 10) then go for whatever size equates to a 10

I know. But it's so easy to sit on my butt and order them

these are the ones I'm thinking of getting, but I can't decide if maybe I should go longer, i feel like the shorter ones might be too short.

found reviews saying that I should be able to fit in a medium

but now I have to pick colors

those colors aren't as awesome!! but i'll try that length.

what about something shorter, like this?

http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/hue-leggings-soft-stretch-pedal-pusher?ID=649860&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results

I feel like it's too short for wearing with dresses, though
