the problem im seeing is we are gonna put up 100 points against anyone it seems
we may be outscored...but hopefully its just our defense and style of play dictates how much we score

well, recap:

defense played pretty well.

hickson is a beast

we seem to have a capable PG in degand

everyone else needs to get in the gym and work harder. i know it was only game one, so its not a big deal, but other than j.j. we looked like ass on offense for most of the game

How do yall see this front court working out? I guess that it depends on the type of team that we are playing, but JJ got 30+ mins tonight I think and Big Ben only had like 12 or so.

Hickson is fantastic but the only thing that concerns me is how we played when he wasn't in the game. If he gets hurt or in foul trouble early a lot of our offense needs to wake the hell up because 31 pts is fantastic but the fact he has half of the entire team's pts is a little scary.

considering most of the shots outside were duds, we just kept feeding it to hickson so it's not surprising he got that many points. Only 4 pts shy of the nc state freshman record of 35.

just got back

we looked rusty as hell. outside shooting was pretty cold, weren't doing the fundamentals (like boxing out) and honestly, our offense looked like we were deliberately forcing the issue inside. i'm sure sid just saw this as another chance to see what different rotations and personnel looked like. hickson looked good no doubt - i definitely don't think we'll become too reliant on him. he's just another weapon in the arsenal. the offense tonight just lacked motion for most of the game, and it really looked like we were just trying to force feed the ball to the big guys.

i don't think we saw hickson, costner and ben on the floor all at once...that'd be a BIG lineup.
