page 333

I think it's time for a haircut, my hair gets knotty so easily nowadays. But I definitely don't want to go short, maybe something with long layers.... and definitely not cutting my bangs again

That's great! It was a very long time before I could get the hang of makeup. Just never had much practice! I'm still not very good at it, but it's passable!

Are you going to post pictures after tomorrow? All this hype leading up to your shoot and I am excited, and I have nothing to do with it!

I will! I wish I could post a picture of my makeup right now, but my laptop is broken so I don't have a web cam

I took some quick mirror pics, none of which show the makeup very well, but here is my very first attempt at putting on my own makeup. I wanted it to look natural.

I feel weird without them! I can't see shit without my glasses, so putting on makeup will probably never happen without contacts. I'm getting new glasses soon, too!

I'm a -7 in both eyes, well, technically one is a -7.5, but the doctor weakened the rx because one of my eyes is a little lazy.

i feel ya. i hate when i have my contacts in and someone sticks something really close to my face. i go all cross eyed and get double vision because my eyes can't focus because of the contacts

and when i got new glasses last year, it cost like $500 - the frames were only $100 but it cost close to $400 just to get the lenses thinned out enough.

So I've been shopping VS for swimsuits. It's so misleading. There's no way a bikini with frilly ruffles would ever look "normal" on the beach in Eastern NC. LMAO.

i have this same issue...

it's also the reason why i can't get cute prescription sunglasses...

the lenses would be so thick they wouldn't stay on my face

Pretty sure I'm just as blind or blinder than you bitches and I just got my glasses from Warby Parker for $125 including lenses Glasses there are like $95, but if you need high index lenses (for blind bitches like me) then it's an extra $30, which is awesome in my book.

I'm in love with my glasses and will most likely order another pair + a pair of sunglasses before the year is out.

They also make sunglasses

DivaBaby19!

My sister now says that she wants white piping around my dress instead of maroon.

not sure what the devil I should do. Chances are they have already stitched that shit on there.

1. I would cut your sister if I were you

2. Why the fuck is she wanting to make sense now?!?!?

3. Piping is a bitch because it's small, but it wouldn't be hard to change if you holler at them TOMORROW. They haven't had your measurements for too long right? When did they say they'd be finished with the dress?

yeah shits not cool.

They said it would be a little over a week. I gave it to them last friday though
Although I need to get a second fitting anyways before they finish it, and that hasn't happened.

I think I'm screwed with an ugly expensive dress that doesn't match the new white theme

I'll visit the tailor tomorrow and see what I can do.

Is she paying for this?

I really hope so, or she will become the new owner of said ugly dress

It can be covered with white piping though!!! I think there's hope. They can hide the seams and whatnot I'm sure of it.

I, too, am mad.

I'm paying for this nonsense.

I'll just have to take really embarrassing photos of her at the bachelorette party and stick them in a slideshow at the rehearsal dinner or something

your comments make me feel hopeful that I can change this around though. thanks.

^^Did you do the try-on program?

I think that's the best part! They ship you (for free) 5 frames to try on for 5 days. You send them back and order the pair you like. There's no pressure to buy either. Also if you don't like any of the 5, pick out 5 more and they will send them to you as soon as your previous return is processed.

It's a win/win in my book.

Which frames did you pick?

^no prob bob....I mean I really like the pattern she picked out, so I hope it can turn into something pretty!!!

BOOYAH.

Now I can have a much easier time finding white shoes to go with it.

For real, grean jay? I have fairly normal skin, and dont get big breakouts, just a pimple or two around period time. I just need a makeup remover that doesnt burn my skin

I normally do nothing, besides run waterover it in the shower. The more I wash it with any kind of soap the more I break out. I dont wear any makeup though, just a moisturizer with spf in it sometimes. Maybe these makeup cleansers are drying my face out to the point of burning.

put some moisturizer on and leave your face alone for awhile. Maybe you're using and doing too much and it's just not used to it.

Less is more. I do not put any sort of cleanser or astringent on my face -- even when I wore make up spackled on religiously. Water and moisturizer -- that's it. I have pretty good skin and I almost never break out even without removing my make up. I just can't wash my face because pretty much all products burn my skin. I've even had one product cause the skin on my face to peel.

I had to wash off the remover before getting all the make up off because of how badly it burned. The bad part is that I wore mascara today, waterproof. Other days shouldn't be bad, but I look like a raccoon and there are bits of mascara coming off in to my eyes.

do you have eye makeup remover? the way to get that off is to hold a cotton ball with some cleanser against your eye for like 30 sec or so and then wipe it away

it will suck more if you just rub and rub cleanser against your eyeballs (suck meaning irritate)

Yeah, I pretty much never wore mascara because it didn't agree with my contacts and I just don't see the point now that I'm in glasses full time.

Try some baby oil to remove your mascara. Vaseline if you have to.

i have sensitive skin and use this aveeno facewash at night (along with the calming moisturizer which i believe you already said you use elise). i don't use make up remover because it makes my eyes burn/feel raw, i just gently massage this stuff into my face until the make up is mostly off.

i also use this st. ives scrub in the shower in the morning. i don't think it has any soap in it so it just helps remove dead skin. if you never wear any kind of foundation/powder and don't have acne problems you probably don't really need to exfoliate that much though, but it is gentle and i like it.

i have also used this noxema cream stuff without any problems, it has eucalyptus oil so that might be an irritant, but it leaves my face feeling soft/moisturized.

you really just have to try stuff until you find something you like. some of the "sensitive skin" soaps out there have been the worst for irritating my skin.

Oo. . .I forgot about that face wash. I have used it before without any problems. I just didn't find it necessary for me. Maybe you should try it, elise!

My brother (being the metrosexual that he is) is all about the St. Ives Apricot Facescrub.

Im on strictly aveeno right now, minus that face wash. Minka might be right, I went from only using face wash on super oily days or gardening days and never wearing makeup to putting make up on and then washing my face at night three times in one week.

I used to use that apricot stuff in high school, face and body wash both. I loved it, but the thought of using it right now makes me cringe. I have to go to the dermatologist to get my back mapped, so maybe I'll talk to them about my face.

Silkies rule. We rarely wear them as an outer garment these days...that started going away years ago.

Funny story, every place I've ever deployed, there has always been some douchebag commander somewhere (typically Army) who wants to force everyone to wear service uniform PT gear to work out in (even when you're just hitting the gym on your own time). We have always just kind of ignored it, saying "You Army dudes do what you want, but stay out of our business, please". However, we all always resolved that if it ever started getting enforced, we would all go buy the smallest size of silkies that we could squeeze into and work out in those.
