if we poured cold war style spending into a trip to the moon we could be there with the quickness.

and also you can see the things that were left on the moon, or at least their shadows. the problem is that with the best telescopes you are talking about just a few pixels, so you have to look at their longer shadows.

btw, what they bust is the myth that the landing was faked. I can understand questioning the government. Hell, I question everything, including religion and pretty much everything else that people take without thinking. But people, they landed on the moon, ok? Get over it. Yes, the computers were ridiculously underpowered. Yes, it's good timing - but that was the POINT. American ingenuity got us there. It happened. There is so much evidence for it (the so-called 'hoax evidence' having been overthrown time and time again) that it's ridiculous to question it anymore.
