I was sitting here watching the news after dinner and someone came and knocked on the door. I figured it was someone selling something so I made Fareako answer it because I suck at making people leave.

It was a girl with a basket of kittens. She said if they didn't find someone to take them in 10 minutes her mom said they were going to just let them go outside. They are only 5 weeks old.

I volunteer with cat rescue organizations. Good news for the kittens. Time to find these guys good homes

The mother was right. They stood a better chance of living if she turned them loose than if they were dropped off at a shelter. And if they did get eaten, what of it? Cats eat many times their weight in other native animals, why shouldn't they give back?
